STANDOUT MUSIC STUDIO LESSONS

At StandOut Music Studio, we will do the utmost to ensure that you have the best of service and the happiest musical experience ever. The Studio is constantly used by multiple students and teachers, with a waiting list of students who would love a time when one becomes available, so please read our terms and conditions and note our cancellation policy carefully.

Studio Lessons

We allocate mutually agreed lesson times, allowing for Holiday Mondays, Public Holidays and special occasions. We adhere to NSW School terms, unless otherwise stated.

Booking Your Lessons

New students: To commence tuition at the beginning of the year or start of a new term, please confirm your booking no later than 48 hours before your first lesson. Lessons are booked on a first come, first allocated basis. New students may still apply once the year has commenced, however, there may be a waiting period. Private students and parents of existing students must indicate their intentions to continue music tuition in the next term at the conclusion of the previous term.

Welcome Portal

On joining the Studio, you may login for access to the services and convenience of our Online Student Portal, complete with calendar, messaging and email services, resources, practice log, lesson notes and more. Student/Parent communication with the tutor is essential for a successful and positive learning experience, and many of our students prefer to do this via the Portal.

Cancellation Policy

When you send written notice (SMS or email) of any cancellation at least 48 hours before your lesson time (preferably the previous week), we will happily issue you a selection of make up times for the current term with a limit of two per term. Without this notice the lesson will no longer be available for any make up time. Ultimately, it is the parents’ or adult student’s responsibility to ensure that you adhere to your rostered lesson time. The studio is booked in advance with a waiting list, and is also available for others to rent, and so we require your notice in order to change your booking. Please be aware that if a student misses a lesson without this prior notification, the lesson fee will still apply as the room is booked, and your time could have been filled.

Make-Up Lessons

All makeup lessons must be made within the current term with a limit of TWO per term. As the Studio is booked heavily we cannot guarantee you will have the same teacher, but will do our best to ensure continuity.

Early-Bird Term Package

We offer a special Early-Bird Rate for students to book weekly lessons within the term, rewarding you with 10% off your term fee. This discounted rate is due within seven (7) days of invoice receipt. After this period, the fee reverts to the full amount [minus the 10% discount]. Casual lesson bookings are available as well at stand out, however do not include the early bird term discount.

Term Lessons

A normal term of lessons will provide one scheduled lesson per week. Additional lessons can be arranged and are often recommended in the lead-up to music exams.

Invoices

We issue invoices at the start of each term for lessons. Early-Bird payments [within 7 days] give you 10% off the term fee, otherwise all fees are at full price, and are due strictly 14 days after the invoice date.

Events

We provide Events [either FREE or at a nominal cost] throughout the year so that students have a supportive occasion for performance practice. These include Sing4YourSupper, Showcase and the end of year Production. All students are invited to participate, and you are welcome to take part in as much or as little as you would like. Many of our students take part in exams, eisteddfods and workshops. These are most often billed separately to your termly lesson invoice.
